Originally designed by Norwegian designer HW Klein, this Bramin dining chair has a danish mid century influence. The chair is crafted from solid solid beech hardwood frame with a double panel, the padded seat is covered in smooth, black polyurethane leatherette.
Henry Walter Klein was born in Norway in 1919. During the war he studied and joined the Norwegian Royal Marine. For two years he worked as a cabinetmaker, and then in 1949, he went to Frederikberg Tekniske Skole in Denmark for three years, where Finn Juhl was head of teaching. In 1952, he could call himself “Boligkonsulent” or an interior consultant, what we might call an interior designer today.
Klein married a Danish woman named Tove and they moved back to his home country of Norway, where he started his own business to do interior design for all the shops in the shopping street. Klein then started to develop a new method for manufacturing plastic furniture with an engineer. They cannot sponsor all of it themselves because it is too expensive, so they invite people from all over the world to come and see what they have done. Klein sells the patent to 46 people, including Fritz Hansen and Bramin. Bramin then becomes not only a wood workshop, but also produces upholstery and this new plastic method. It was quite a big business until the Denmark financial crisis in the 1980s. When Bramin closed down in the 1980s Klein started working from home. He lived in San Francisco, so he designed many couches for the American market. Klein has designed furniture for bedrooms, living rooms, churches and hotels and even for the Prince of Saudi Arabia.

Base on your purchase(s), we use different freight carriers to deliver our products. All items in stock will be dispatched within 3 business days and delivery lead times are as follows:

- Outside Sydney between 3 and 10 working days.
- Remote locations (including Hobart and Cairns) between 10 and 15 working days.

But in very rare cases, if you receive a faulty or damaged item, we require you to send us the evidence of the damage/fault such as photographic or video footage within 24 hours via email to [email protected]. So we highly recommend you to inspect the item(s) as soon as you receive it (them), it is the customers’ responsibility to adhere to our claims process including providing proof of damages and arranging for products to be returned for inspection. Any damages or faults reported after 24 hours will be treated as a warranty claim and the customers will be solely liable for the shipment cost in the claim process.
All items must be in original wrappings and packaging and not assembled or part assembled in any way.

The item need to be returned within SEVEN days of purchase as long as the item is in exactly the same condition as when purchased. All items must be in original wrappings and packaging and not assembled or part assembled in any way.
Prior to returning goods, customers need to fill in a Return Authorization Form (please send email to [email protected] to request) and get Place Furniture’s approval, any unauthorized return will not be accepted.
It is the customers’ responsibility to ensure that returned items are returned safely. Place Furniture takes no responsibility for lost goods and the customers will be solely liable for the shipment cost of the return.
Custom Made Items
Buyer has the responsibilities to ensure custom ordered items are what they are after. We do not offer a refund for custom ordered products due to change of mind. All lead times quoted are an approximation and Place Furniture takes no responsibility for production or customs delays.
Place Furniture provides a 12 month warranty on all products (unless otherwise stated in product detail page). Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, commercial use, damage arising from abnormal use, not properly maintained and being modified goods. Place Furniture has the ultimate discretion to obtain proof of purchase and any further information to decide on warranty outcomes. Products will be repaired or replaced, depending on product circumstances and it is solely at Place Furniture’s discretion.
Contact us if you want to cancel your order, we will do a full refund if the items are still not being dispatched from our warehouse, if otherwise, shipping cost will not be included with the refund.
